bad romance

There is a ..... boy(?- this is semi-questionable, but he lives in a boy's building so we are going to go with male) who comes to the CB every day. And goes into a room. And plays the piano. And plays one song. BUT, not just any song.

He ONLY plays about 3 lines from Lady Gaga's song Bad Romance. And sings loudly along with it.
All I've heard for the past 2.5 hours is the same chords being played OVER and OVER again.

Dear boy-who-looks-like-a-girl-and-secretly-wants-to-be-lady-gaga,

Where can I start? And how can I say this nicely? Please stop dressing like her. You are a BOY. She is not. She is creepy. You still have a choice in that category. And a hair cut would do you nicely. You are coming dangerously close to me having to report you to the honor code office.
Also, please please please pick a new song. Perhaps one that is actually good? If you would like suggestions, I know plenty of people in this office who would prefer something else. And would be very appreciative if you did. Also, it is NOT okay when you go into the bathroom to practice singing. You scare the customers. Do you not know there is a piano in your building? Or do you actually know that but choose not to use it because of possible ridicule from your dorm-mates? Either way, what is happening here between you and the piano, and me and the rest of the people here in the office is a BAD romance. Which desperately needs to end soon. Oh save me now. We implore you.

i love being married.

(if you understood how horrible we are at "dip" pictures, you would understand that the fact we even have this picture is incredible - which is why i think it is great)

Reasons why marriage is wonderful (in no particular order):
1. no more curfew
2. no more singles ward
3. lots of awesome pictures!4. lots of incredible presents (which we are so grateful for!)
5. you open the fridge and know everything in there is YOURS.
6. no more writing your name on your groceries
7. leftovers for lunch!
8. buying household items is FUN.
9. dreams and talk of having our own house one day

10. knowing i have an eternity with my best friend

For me only.

I wrote a post about something.

And the average-ness of it all stood out to me.

And it became so apparent to me how human I am.

And I learned from it.

And moved it somewhere else,
somewhere where I can read it later and
realize how much more I still need to improve.

Because being human is a gift.
And I need to learn from it.

Sitting, waiting, wishing, wanting.

what do you write about when there is nothing to write about?

I'm just waiting. Seriously, just WAITING.

This is one of the worst feelings for me. It leads to all the other feelings that are not so good for me. Doubt, fear, nervousness, all of which just make me so impatient.

So now I'm sitting. I need a distraction.
Dinnertime. Time to go find food that doesn't need utensils to eat.

Oooookay. Don't hold your breath because this might be long.

Well, first things first!
I graduated (almost). I have 2 independent study classes left, so I am going to work on those on my days off this summer (instead of soaking up the sun). It was so fun to have family come. David's family is so great to sit through my ridiculously long class graduation that was so so early in the morning. It was so much fun to see them. They are fantastic people.

Secondly,
I survived the craziest day of work! I worked a straight 13 hours - full of random projects, pizza, lots of talking and figuring out minor mishaps - but boy, oh boy, was it fun! Come Saturday night at around 10:25 I was so ready to go home. I've been trying to not let my attitude get into my work attitude, so it was way hard to stay positive by the end of the night. But I'm happy to say, I succeeded. I believe the word to describe that day was TROOPER.

Thirdly, (is that even a word?)
We moved in! Ahhh, it was so exciting! It was kind of odd to walk into an empty apartment and realize that this is where we are living after we get married. It's actually in pretty nice shape. I took pictures of it before, but I don't have my camera with me so I will post them when I get home. It is nice to finally have things get put away. We will definitely have plenty of space, it is just a matter of getting it all organized. The girls that lived there before us left us MOUNDS of cleaning supplies. I'm pretty sure we are set for the decade in that category. I'm still trying to figure out a way to organize stuff when I can't put in shelves. Does anyone have any suggestions in that area? I'm thinking I might make a little trip to IKEA to see what I can find. Also, I'm craving one of their hot dogs, so that might be the biggest reason to go. OOoh and JDawgs sounds good now too.
We had the slight problem of not having a bed, because there are only 2 bunk beds in the apartment. SO - problem solved: the 2 top bunks are the same height, so we just took them apart, rebuilt them in the next room, and pushed them together. Voila, we have a bed! It is quite large and so so comfy. We bought a duvet last time we were at B3 and I LOVE it. So so soft.
It was also fun to find a couple problems in the apartment and fix them. One door of the washer/dryer closet was completely off. We found it outside on the patio/mini balcony. And we put it back on after a little jury-rigging with some wrapping paper (don't ask).

Lastly,
I can't remember what I was going to write here. Something important? Maybe. Probably not. But I will try to remember. And I will try to remember to put up pictures.
Today is a beautiful day.

I'm graduated!!!

Well, folks, I'm graduated (mostly). I just walked the stage and shook lots I hands and am now sitting in a chair waiting for hundreds of other names to be called. Awesome for me that I picked one of the biggest majors, huh? TONS of graduates.
They wouldn't let me take my phone onstage so I could snap a picture with the VP of BYU. So I had to snap one from down here.

Jenny! Thanks for coming!!!

Maybe they won't notice if I sneak out the side tunnel. Hopefully. I'm getting a wee bit hungry.

STATS oh STATS you are killing me.

and yet, I am almost to the point where I don't care anymore. Good thing I am taking it tomorrow to get it out of the way!

AND, apparently the rumor going around is that the testing center is charging $5 to take any unscheduled test on the last day of finals. MESSED up. That's the whole point of finals week - study and then take your finals. No fair that they get to charge you for wanting to do better on them.

This week is fun!
Work, tests, moving out, moving in, cleaning check, graduation, graduation.
Oh I'm so excited!!!

is it bad.....

.....that i'm going to attribute my lack of rocking my chem final to the fact that i'm engaged and was super busy with wedding stuff for the past two days instead of being super busy with studying for a bloated chem test?

I did these yesterday:
And I'm SO SO excited to see how they turn out.
Hopefully we got some good ones, because my dress is SO dirty now :)

So,

I learned a couple things today.

#1 - when they tell you not to go to the grocery store when you're hungry, LISTEN to them.
#2 - I'm a sucker for sales.

End of story. :)

Got money? Me too.

So, these are my new favorite blogs. Mostly because money is important and apparently most of the U.S. doesn't know how to handle theirs, it makes me want to be better about how I handle mine (soon to be ours).

Both just well-written blogs about being smart with your money. If only I could do that from the get-go.
